Unud Faculty of Animal Husbandry Receives Cattle Grant from BPTUHPT Denpasar
The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University (Fapet Unud) has held a handover ceremony for cattle grants from the Center for Breeding Superior Tenak and Forage Animals (BPTU-HPT) Denpasar, which is the Technical Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture which is under and responsible to the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health (Sunday, October 22, 2023). The activity took place at the Bangli Pengotan Farm, Unud Faculty of Animal Husbandry, and was attended by the Dean of Unud Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., ASEAN Eng. and accompanied by Deputy Deans, Secretary of the Faculty Senate, Head of Unit, Head of TU, ??Head of Lab, and lecturers in the Unud Faculty of Animal Husbandry.
Bali Cattle Seeds which came from the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture, came from the Pulukan BPTU-HPT Denpasar Breeding Center, a total of 5 Bali Seed cows (4 females and 1 male). Symbolic handover of the Cattle Grant from the Ministry's Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health to the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud by Dr. Hary Suhada S.Pt., M.Sc Head of BPTU-HPT Denpasar to the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., ASEAN Eng.
In his speech, the Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Unud Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM., ASEAN Eng. conveyed his thanks and hoped that the donated livestock would be useful for supporting research in the field of Bali cattle. “We at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry are very grateful for the grant that has been given to us. "We will use the grants provided for research by our students, both at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels," said Dr. Warma. So, during this time, the head of the hall and other ladies and gentlemen, our research in the field of Bali cattle has decreased significantly. "Hopefully with this grant, the interest of students and lecturers in conducting Bali cattle research will increase, because we already have our own," continued Dr. Warma.
