The Weimana Udayana Team took part in the 2023 Asia Pacific and Middle East Shell Eco-marathon

The Shell Eco-marathon (SEM) is a world class energy-efficient vehicle competition sponsored by Shell which this year will be held on 4-9 July 2023 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok. Participants build automotive vehicles to achieve the highest possible fuel efficiency. There are two classes of vehicles in SEM: Prototype and Urban Concept.

 

 

Weimana Udayana itself is an UKM at Udayana University which is a forum for students who are interested in designing electric vehicles. In fact, this team was born from an ambition of students in the Mechanical Engineering study program, Faculty of Engineering, University of Udayana to take part in and win national-scale competitions such as KMHE and KMLI, starting from the study group to the Weimana Udayana team to become an UKM and this year have the opportunity to take part in the Asia Pacific and Middle East scale SEM competitions.

 

After recording 4th place in the Urban Concept Electric category at the 2023 Asia Pacific and Middle East SEM competition. Improvements and improvements will continue to be made to maximize the potential of the vehicles that have been designed and realized. The next target is to win 1st place in the Urban Electric Motorcycle category at the upcoming KMHE event. The Weimana team also plans to expand by preparing vehicles in other categories.
