UNUD Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program Provides Education
The Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held community service which was carried out simultaneously in four schools in Bangli Regency (10/12/2022)
The event began with an opening which was centered at SMAN 1 Susut-Bangli, attended by the Deputy Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs, Dr.dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K), the Bangli District Health Office, Secretary to the Bangli District Education and Sports Office, Heads of Health Centers throughout Bangli Regency, Principals of SMAN 1 Susut-Bangli, SMAN 1 Bangli, SMPN 1 and SMPN 2 Susut-Bangli, as well as Chief de Clinique FK UNUD Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program Prof.Dr.dr.Sri Maliawan, Sp.BS(K) as Chair of the Committee and Coordinator of the FK UNUD Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program Prof.Dr.dr.Tjokorda Gde Bagus Mahadewa, M.Kes., Sp.BS(K) Spinal.
According to Prof. Mahadeva, the purpose and objective of organizing this Community Service activity is to provide education about the importance of wearing a helmet to avoid head injuries, especially for junior and senior high school students who can already drive motorized vehicles.
"Thank you to the FK UNUD Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program for coming here. We hope that in the future this socialization will continue, especially for counseling on clean and healthy living behavior and reproductive health according to the needs of middle and high school children in Bangli" Said Mr. Hartono Dolok Saribu, SKM, representing the Head of the Bangli District Health Office in his remarks.
The event was opened by the Deputy Dean for Academic and Planning, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K). In his remarks he expressed his high appreciation for the Neurosurgery Specialist Study Program for organizing this event and hoped that other Study Programs could also participate in community service in accordance with the demands and needs of the community.
After the opening, the event continued with the simultaneous delivery of counseling materials to students in four different locations namely, Susut-Bangli 1 SMAN, Bangli 1 SMAN, 1 SMPN and 2 Susut SMPN 2 Bangli. The material was presented by Prof.Dr.dr.Sri Maliawan, Sp.BS(K), Prof.Dr.dr.Tjokorda Gde Bagus Mahadewa, M.Kes., Sp.BS(K) Spinal, dr. Dewa Putu Wisnu Wardhana, Sp.BS(K), and dr.I Putu Ananta Wijaya Sabudi, M.Ked.Klin., Sp.BS.
