FK Unud and the Indonesian Ministry of Health Campaign for the Importance of Patient Safety

 

In order to build a culture of patient safety towards zero harm in health care facilities and support the Global Patient Safety Plan 2021-2030 program, the Indonesian Ministry of Health through the Directorate of Health Service Quality organizes a "Patient Safety Campaign and Advocacy at Health Facilities of Professional Organizations, Educational and Community Associations". hybrid with a prime location point in the Dr. A A. Made Djelantik, FK Building, Denpasar. (13/10/2022)

 

Attended by participants from professional and specialist students/residents, this campaign aims to provide, educate and improve students' understanding of concepts related to patient safety.

 

The Dean of FK Unud, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes who was present offline in his speech said that patient safety is a global issue that has become a concern for the world and WHO, because patient safety has an influence not only from the health aspect, but also from the economic aspect.

 

"We as doctors are an important component in maintaining patient safety so that we can optimize the quality of service. As residents, we must understand patient safety concepts and implement them when serving patients," he said.

 

The Dean also hopes that this campaign visit will provide a more comprehensive understanding and that students and residents can implement patient safety concepts so that in the future the number of incidents related to patient safety can be reduced.

 

The event then continued with the presentation of material and discussion sessions from the Ministry of Health, represented by dr. Astri Hernasari, MM., FISQua as the health administrator of the health service quality directorate.
