Restorative Justice FGD By the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia and FH UNUD

Supreme Court (MA) RI Research and Development Center Team held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for the Bali Legal Area with the topic "Restorative Justice in Criminal Cases of Narcotics Abuse" on August 1, 2022 in the FH Unud Hall. The 3 reviewers from the MA Team, namely: Dr. Budi Suhariyanto, SH., MH - researcher at the National Innovation Research Agency (BRIN), Agus Suntoro, SH., MH - researcher at the National Innovation Research Agency (BRIN) and Ndaru Kusumo Wibowo, SH - staff of the Kumdil Research and Development Center. Meanwhile, the resource person from the Faculty of Law Unud, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Mertha, SH., M.Hum and several academics from the Criminal Law Lab/Section: Prof. Dr. I Ketut Rai Setiabudhi, SH., MS, Dr. Gede Made Swardhana, SH., MH., Dr. I Gede Artha, SH., MH. and Dr. Sagung Putri ME Purwani, SH., MH. The purpose of this FGD is to collect data in the preparation of the Academic Paper for the 2022 Fiscal Year from the Indonesian Supreme Court. There are several important things discussed in the FGD: the possibility of using restorative justice in criminal cases of narcotics abuse, clear and firm regulation of restorative justice in law enforcement, and arrangements regarding the authority between the prosecutor's office and the police regarding the implementation of restorative justice in narcotics crimes.
