I Ketut Mangku Budiasa Receives Doctoral Degree in Animal Science, Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud

The Promoter Team consists of Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Suarna, MS., Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Mahardika, MS., and Prof. Dr. Ir. Ni Nyoman Suryani, M.Si. The Doctoral Promotion today presented 5 supporting lecturers and 4 academic invited lecturers from Fapet Unud. The dissertation that was successfully defended was entitled "Diversity of Feed Plant Availability and Its Effect on the Dynamics of Appearance of Bali Cattle on Sub-Optimal Land in Karangasem Regency, Bali."
The results of the dissertation research get the novelty: 1. The diversity of forage plants on sub-optimal land in Karangasem Regency, Bali is able to guarantee the availability of forage plants to meet the needs of mother bali cattle and fattening bali cattle; 2. Availability of forage plants on sub-optimal land in Karangasem Regency, Bali is able to meet the feed needs of mother bali cattle and fattening bali cattle in a sustainable manner; 3. Bali cattle calves born in the February-May period have a relatively higher birth weight.” said I Ketut Mangku Budiasa.
The objectives of this research are: 1.Analyzing the diversity and availability of forage plants on sub-optimal land in Karangasem Regency, Bali Province; 2. The relationship of the diversity of forage plants to the dynamics of the appearance of mother bali cattle and fattening bali cattle; 3. The relationship between the availability of forage plants and the dynamics of the appearance of mother bali cattle and fattening bali cattle; 4. The relationship between diversity and availability of forage plants on the dynamics of the appearance of mother bali cattle and fattening bali cattle
