National Meeting of the Cooperation Board of Deans of the Faculty of Law of State Universities in Indonesia

Bogor- The Dean of the Faculty of Law (FH) Unud and his staff attended the National Meeting of the Cooperation Board (BKS) of the Deans of the Faculty of Law of State Universities (PTN) in Indonesia which was held on 28-30 March 2022 at the Aston Sentul Lake and Resort Conference. The event was attended by 144 participants from 43 FH PTNs throughout Indonesia. There are several agendas in the national meeting of BKS Deans of FH PTNs throughout Indonesia, namely: Accountability of Management for the 2018-2020 Period, Selection & Appointment of Chairperson of BKS Deans of FH PTNs throughout Indonesia 2022-2024, Submission of Results of the MBKM Policy Curriculum Design and Support for the Establishment of Independent Accreditation Institutions Legal Higher Education. From the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (UI), was elected. Dr. Edmon Makarim, S. Kom., SH, LL. M. as Chairman of the BKS Dean of FH PTn in Indonesia for the period 2022-2024. On that occasion, several FHs conveyed several obstacles and challenges in the implementation of MBKM so that a common perception and clear system were needed to optimize the implementation of MBKM. In addition, he also conveyed the purpose of establishing an Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM) which would accredit study programs not institutions under the authority of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
