Langkawi, FLUNUD.ac.id - The Teaching Lecturer Team of the Doctor of Law Science Study Program (PDIH) FH UNUD has held an International Service with the theme "Optimizing The CSR Impact: Optimizing The Nature Preservation, Human Welfare, and Tourism Business Sustainability on 9 - 11 September 2023 at The Datai Langkawi, Malaysia. The team was led by Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Wyasa Putra, S.H., M.Hum with members Prof. Dr. Desak Putu Dewi Kasih, S.H., M.Hum, Dr. I Ketut Westra, S.H., M.H and Lukas Banu, S.H., M.H students of PDIH FHH UNUD.
The Datai Langkawi is one of the corporations in the Langkawi Region of Malaysia that develops resosrt in the Langkawi Region and consistently applies the concept of sustainable tourism. The Datai is supported by a very complete sustainable tourism accommodation system, starting with various accommodation waste treatment centers to community empowerment and preservation of forest, land, sea and air ecology in the area. From their side was attended by: Remi Giromella (Director of Quality Control and Improvement), Tom Wheeler (Ribjabi Bay Development Representative), Muhammad Firdaus Dev Abdullah (The Nature Center Manager and Naturalist), Zakwan Zamri (Assistant Manager of Sustainability).
The PDIH FH UNUD Lecturer Team shared knowledge about the regulations and practices of organizing sustainable tourism in Indonesia, the role of the government in organizing it and The Datai Team shared knowledge about the sustainable tourism model developed and practiced by The Datai. The Datai sustainable tourism model is a very structured and comprehensive model and needs to be used as a model for organizing similar ethics in Indonesia.
