FH UNUD Research Team Participates in International Seminar and National Conference of APHKI 2023

Medan, FLUNUD.ac.id - 4 lecturers representing the FH UNUD Research Team consisting of: Prof. Dr. Desak Putu Dewi Kasih, S.H., M.Hum, LLM, Putu Aras Samsithawrati, S.H., LLM, Putri Triari Dwijayanthi, S.H., M.H. and Dr. Md Suksma Prijandhini Devi Salain, S.H., M.H. attended the International Seminar and National Conference (Munas) organized by the Intellectual Property Rights Teachers Association at the Faculty of Law, University of North Sumatra (USU), Medan from 29 - 31 August 2023.

The activity began with a Welcoming Dinner at Jati Ballroom Radisson Hotel, Medan and continued the next day with the International Seminar and National Conference. The International Seminar organized by APHKI had the theme "The Role of Intellectual Property in Realizing the Nation's Economic Independence with subthemes: Sustainable Development Paradigm in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Industrial Society 5.0 in the Perspective of Green and Blue Economics presents several Keynote Speakers, namely: Keynote Speaker, Dr. Andriensjah, S.T., S.H., MM (Head of Program & Reporting Section of Directorate General of Intellectual Property Kemenkumham RI), Mr. Oka Hiroyuki (Japan INternational Cooperation Agency-Expert on Intellectual Property-DJKI), Prof. Dr. Ida Madieha Abdul Ghani Azmi (Professor at Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws and International Islamic University Malaysia). 

After the three main speakers finished, it was continued with parallel sessions which were divided into 2 sessions in several small rooms. The FH UNUD Research Team made a presentation at the first parallel session in Room B. 

The First Research Team presented a research entitled "Penta Helix Collaboration: Enhancing the Protection of Communal Intellectual Property in Bali" and the Second Research Team presented research entitled: "Quo Vadis the Protection of Traditional Cultural Expressions: Threats from Personal Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence." The parallel session went well and continued with the second parallel session.

The end of the parallel session was followed by the APHKI National Conference which discussed the work program, accountability of the APHKI management for the 2020-2023 period and the election of the APHKI chairman. So at the end of the National Conference, the new APHKI Chair was elected, namely: Prof. Dr. Adi Sulistiyono, S.H., M.H.
