Doctoral Study Program in Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University Organizes Community Service for Healthy Elderly, Happy Elderly

 

Doctoral Study Program in Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) Batch 2023, is holding Community Service Activities with the theme "Healthy Elderly, Happy Elderly". This activity was held on Saturday, 19 August 2023, and is located at the Wantilan Temple of Dalem Temple, Celuk Village, Sukawati, Gianyar. The series of community service activities started with elderly gymnastics and general health services, eye examinations, ENT and treatment and acupuncture for the elderly in Celuk Village, Sukawati.

In addition to the activities mentioned above, there are also health education and promotion activities. In the health counseling activities, the Coordinator of the Doctor of Medical Science Study Program was directly present, namely Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Jawi, M. Kes. In this community service activity, he provided counseling on "The Effects and Effects of Purple Sweet Potato Capsules on Daily Use."

Not to be left behind either, this community service activity also wants to provide new knowledge to the elderly community in Celuk Village, Sukawati by holding a Health Promotion session. This session started with a presentation of material by dr. Ni Ketut Putri Ariani, Sp.KJ(K), with the topic "Healthy and Happy Elderly". Furthermore, the second topic was presented by dr. Komang Ayu Kartika Sari, MPH, with the topic "Elderly Posyandu". As well as the third topic presented by dr. Marilaeta Cindryani, M.Biomed, Sp.An-TI, Subsp.TI(K), with the topic "Basic Life Support". This health promotion session went smoothly because of the enthusiasm of the residents who were very enthusiastic in the discussion and question and answer sessions. Of course, behind the smooth discussion, this health promotion session was guided by a moderator, namely dr. I Gusti Putra Eka Santosa, M.Fis.
