The Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Andalas University Move Together with Badung Regency through the Regional Innovation System (SIDa)

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University cooperates with the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Andalas University to work together with the Badung Regency Government in strengthening competitiveness by maximizing the potential of the area they have. Even though Badung Regency has the highest regional competitiveness among the eight and municipalities in the Province of Bali based on GRDP, Income per Capita, and Growth Rate in 2019, this is not evenly distributed across all regions in Badung Regency. This indicates that Badung Regency, which is rich in regional potential, has a very high opportunity to be developed and maximized through the Regional Innovation System (SIDa). The initial visit was carried out by the Udayana University Faculty of Animal Husbandry Team, namely the Dean of the Udayana University Animal Husbandry Faculty, Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Tirta Ariana, M.S., IPU., ASEAN Eng., Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Ir. Budi Rahayu Tanama Putri, S.Pt., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., and Professor and Lecturer of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Dr. Ir. Nyoman Suparta, M.S., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng., and Ni Made Ari Kusuma Dewi, S.Pt., M.Sc.; with the Professor of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Andalas University, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. James Hellyward, M.S., IPU., ASEAN Eng.

The intention of the visit which was carried out on Monday, January 16 2023 was welcomed by the Head of Balitbang Badung Regency, I Wayan Suambara, S.H., M.M., Head of Badung Regency Social, Economic and Government Affairs, Drs. I Nyoman Adi Wiratma, along with the staff. Based on the results of the initial discussion conducted, the Head of Balitbang Badung Regency conveyed several regional potentials that are possible to be developed through the SIDa Program, especially in agriculture and animal husbandry. At this auspicious meeting, Balitbang Badung Regency also presented the findings of Balitbang millennial researchers in the field of marine and fisheries, and in the future, it is highly hoped that innovative works will appear from the agriculture and animal husbandry sector widely. The Head of Balitbang said, "Hopefully this collaboration will be a good start to further increase the excellence and competitiveness of Badung Regency, which will later provide benefits for the people of Bali, especially Badung Regency".
