FAPET UNUD PMK Task Force Conducts Service
Sunday, August 7, 2022. The Task Force of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University (Fapet Unud) carried out the first socialization service on the Strategy for Strengthening Livestock Maintenance Management as an Effort to Prevent FMD in the Beef Cattle Livestock Group located in Pupuan Village, Tegallalang District, Gianyar Regency. This activity is one of a series in order to welcome the 60th Anniversary of the BK Faculty of Animal Husbandry Udayana University (Fapet Unud) in collaboration with the Indonesian Animal Husbandry Graduate Association (ISPI). The Fapet Unud Task Force delegation consisting of the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unud, Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Tirta Ariana, M.S., IPU.; Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. Ir. Dewi Ayu Warmadewi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM.; Deputy Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Ir. Budi Rahayu Tanama Putri, S.Pt., M.M., IPU., ASEAN Eng.; Chairman of the Indonesian Animal Husbandry Association (ISPI) Bali Region, Dr. Ir. Ni Luh Putu Sriyani, S.Pt., M.P., IPM., ASEAN Eng.; and the lecturers of Fapet Unud. The group was greeted directly by Klian Subak Abian Gunung Sari, I Gusti Made Oka Suta Wijaya; Clients from the Banjar Timbul Service, I Made Edi Andana; Prebekel Pupuan Village, I Wayan Sumatra; PPL Agriculture Sebatu Village and Pupuan Village, Head of Peak Mesari Farmers Group, I Nyoman Kardi and the management.
This activity began with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University, Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Tirta Ariana, M.S., IPU. In his remarks, the Dean said that "This activity is an effort of the Bali Provincial Office together with the PMK Task Force of Fapet Unud and ISPI which is a series of welcoming the 60th Anniversary of BK Fapet Unud in responding to and tackling the spread of PMK in Bali Province. The purpose of this activity is expected to be able to effectively tackle the spread of FMD more widely in Bali Province. Hopefully, in the next few months, FMD cases in Bali Province can reach 0 cases". This activity also presents three resource persons who are competent in their fields, namely Dr. dr. I Gusti Agung Arta Putra, M.Sc., who conveyed about Livestock Maintenance Management for FMD Prevention; Dr. Ir. Ni Wayan Siti, M.Sc., regarding Management of Animal Feed for FMD Prevention; and Anak Agung Nyoman Wijana, with the topic Practical Instructions for Prevention of FMD. This activity then ended with the provision of Liquid Carbon Bio Silica and molasses assistance to help farmers carry out the prevention and control of FMD in this area.
