Raise the Appearance of Kampung Chicken Production and Reproduction, AW. Puger Receives Doctoral Degree in Animal Science at Unud

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, has again given birth to a Doctor in Animal Science, Antonius Wayan Puger is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Animal Science at Udayana University. The Promoter Team consists of Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Mahardika, MS., Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Suarna, MS., , and Prof. Dr. Ir. Ni Nyoman Suryani, M.Si. Today's Doctoral Promotion presented 6 supporting lecturers and 4 academic invited lecturers from Fapet Unud. The dissertation that was successfully defended was entitled "The Effect of Protein Levels in the Ration on the Production and Reproduction Performance of Kampung Chickens."

The results of the dissertation research obtained novelty: 1. Free-range chickens reared with rations containing low protein 14%, growth performance, production and reproduction were lower and unable to restore body weight quickly; 2. Provision of protein level of 18% is optimal in terms of growth, production, reproduction and economic value,” said AW. Puger.

The aims of this research are: 1.to obtain optimal protein levels for the growth of native chickens; 2. Obtain optimal protein levels in the ration for egg production and ; 3. The protein level of the ration affects the speed of weight recovery and re-laying after hatching.
