Hasanuddin University Visit for the Socialization of the Doctoral & Masters Program in Architecture

In the context of a study related to the Doctoral and Masters Program in Architecture, Hasanuddin University paid a visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University on 27 May 2022 at Meeting Room III, Dean Building, Faculty of Engineering. The main topic of discussion in this activity is the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education. the activity begins with the presentation of the profile of the Study Program from each institution. Then a discussion/review on the development of cooperation related to mutual guidance and external examiners was carried out in the Doctoral Program. Another review that should also be carried out is regarding the management of scientific journal publications in the form of Peer Reviewers in each Institution.


Previously, Hasanuddin University and the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University had implemented the cooperation contained in the Merdeka Learn Independent Campus cooperation agreement, especially student exchanges. In addition, Cooperation Agreement will be prepared regarding Education and Teaching, Research and Development and Community Service activities. In the near future, this cooperation will be identified in advance about the things that can be collaborated specifically. This collaboration is also facilitated by the inclusion of the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University in the Indonesian Engineering Deans Forum, which consists of Engineering Faculties throughout Indonesia, both public and private universities. The joining of FT Unud in FDTI facilitates all forms of cooperation, with the principle of advancing together to build the country.

According to the Dean, Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST, Ph.D. as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, “There are important things that need to be built, namely the collaboration of all Engineering Faculties throughout Indonesia to improve each of the problems that exist in the Faculty of Engineering of the University concerned. For example, the advantages of Hasanuddin University are that it has adequate laboratory facilities and Udayana University has ethnic or traditional research on Balinese cultures.”


So it is hoped that through this collaboration the Faculty of Engineering throughout Indonesia can be more advanced, especially in terms of research publications, research, and increase revenue from the private sector and industry as a supporter of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and achieve the Vision and Mission of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University as well as superior and recognized nationally and internationally.
