Biological Sciences

HISTORY/BRIEF DESCRIPTION  : 

Department of Biology was established on 1 May 1985 under Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Udayana University. Total lecturers in the Department of Biology are 47 lecturers. It’s equipped with 10 laboratories and learning support facilities. Since the establishment, Department of Biology was graduated approximately 400 undergraduate students. Biology graduates work in various fields.

Validity Period of Accreditation:  23 - 09 - 2011 to 23 - 09 – 2016

Vision :

Becoming culture-minded excellent center of education and research in the field of Biology and its applications to support ecotourism and food security in Eastern Indonesia.

Mission :

The missions of Department of Biology of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Udayana University which are planned to 2019 are:

1. Carrying out high quality education and teaching of Biology and its applications by optimizing the wisdom of local culture.
2. Conducting and developing researches in the fields of Biology and its applications to compete at national and international levels.
3. Improving partnerships with stakeholders in conducting researches and community services in the fields of Biology and its applications.
