Bulgarian Ambassador Gives Public Lecture at Udayana University, Students Enthusiastically Discuss Diplomacy and Culture

Jimbaran, Thursday (6/3/2025) – Udayana University (Unud) presented the Bulgarian Ambassador to Indonesia, Ms. Tanya Dimitrova, Ph.D, in a public lecture themed "Bulgaria-Indonesia: Celebrating 69 Years of Diplomatic Relations". The presence of the Bulgarian Ambassador is a valuable moment for students to understand more deeply the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the richness of Bulgarian culture.

The event was opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs of Udayana University, Prof. I Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, who in his remarks emphasized the importance of global insight for students. He hopes that this public lecture can broaden the understanding of diplomacy and provide new perspectives on international relations and culture. 

In her presentation, Ms. Dimitrova described Bulgaria as The Country of Roses, which is famous for its abundant rose production. She also invited students to explore the natural charm of Bulgaria, the rich history, and the country's contributions in the fields of art and science. Not only that, she highlighted the various potentials for cooperation between Indonesia and Bulgaria in various sectors.

The enthusiasm of the students was felt throughout the event, actively asking questions about Bulgarian culture, scholarship opportunities, and prospects for collaboration between the two countries. This interactive dialogue reflects a high academic spirit and deep interest in international relations.

With the implementation of this public lecture, it is hoped that the relationship between Indonesia and Bulgaria will be closer and open up more opportunities for Udayana University students to contribute to global cooperation.
