Pertamina Goes To Campus Udayana University, Energizing The Future Together

Jimbaran - Udayana University (Unud) is the location for the Pertamina Goes To Campus (PGTC) event which is carried out by the National Gas Company (PGN), one of Pertamina's Sub-Holdings in the natural gas sector. PGTC took place at the Widya Sabha Auditorium Building, Jimbaran Campus, Thursday (31/10/2024). This activity is a program or initiative carried out by Pertamina to share inspiring stories on campus. The aim of this program is to increase understanding of Pertamina's role in development. This program is also designed to cover various topics ranging from technology, renewable energy to career opportunities in industry. PGTC activities at Unud take the theme "Energizing The Future Together".

In implementing the PGTC, a Memorandum of Understanding or MoU was also signed between the National Gas Company (PGN) and Udayana University and the signing of an inscription for the handover of the collaboration field, namely the Basketball Court.

Rector of Unud Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D in his speech really appreciated this activity because in its implementation, all academics, both lecturers and students were given space to learn and understand more deeply about the energy sector, especially natural gas as a transitional energy source towards new energy and renewable. Udayana University as the oldest and largest PTN in Bali is committed to supporting sustainable development, one of which is in the field of new, renewable energy towards Indonesia Net Zero Emissions 2060.

Through the use of natural gas, we have the opportunity to maintain sustainable energy in a more environmentally friendly manner while still supporting the needs of industry that continues to grow, including the tourism industry. We need to support the sustainable development of Bali tourism and become our shared commitment. The Rector hopes that this event can inspire students, who are potential future leaders, to become increasingly aware of the importance of innovation and collaboration in building energy security. Synergy between academics and industry players as is being done today is certainly very important.

"We at Udayana University are ready to support PGN's efforts in creating sustainable energy solutions, as well as providing insight for the younger generation regarding opportunities and challenges in the energy sector," said the Rector of Unud.

Through this opportunity, the Rector also expressed his gratitude for the CSR basketball court provided by PGN which is expected to improve student achievement.

Vice President for Stakeholder Relations and Management of Pertamina, Rifky Rakhman Yusuf, in his speech said that this event was part of Pertamina's commitment to support the development of empowering the younger generation, especially in the fields of energy and the environment. As one of the largest energy companies in Indonesia, Pertamina has an obligation not only to provide energy but also to provide understanding regarding innovation, sustainability and energy-related challenges to the community, especially the younger generation.

Meanwhile, PGN President Director Arief Setiawan Handoko, in his speech, said that the implementation of this activity was aimed at providing a more detailed understanding of the activities of the Pertamina Group, which has 6 sub-holdings, one of which is the gas sub-holding at PGN. Through this activity, students will be given an understanding of what is done at PGN. It is also hoped that this activity can provide provisions for students to anticipate future challenges. After the implementation of the PGTC, it is hoped that an MoU or collaboration can be carried out to provide opportunities for students to do internships or become staff at one of the existing Sub-Holdings.

In this PGTC there is also the presentation of material from resource persons consisting of Leaders at PGN, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Customers, Energy Observers and Researchers as well as appearances by Guest Stars.
