FK Unud Students Successfully Win 1st Place in International Literature Review at the 2023 AMSW Event

 

FK Unud students, Made Dwinanda Prabawa Mahardana, Christo Timothy Mamangdean, and Jane Carissa Sutedja (PSSK' 21) successfully won 1st place in the 2023 Airlangga Medical Scientific Week (AMSW) International Literature Review Competition held by the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University (Unair) . AMSW (Airlangga Medical Scientific Week) is an annual scientific event at the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University which is organized by the FK Unair Scientific Institute, namely the Student Scientific and Study Forum (FORISMA). This AMSW event is on a national and international scale for several competition branches. AMSW 2023 activities will be held at the FK Unair Campus on 8-10 December 2023 with the main theme, namely "Holistic Approaches to Kidney and Urinary Tract Wellness: Integrative Medicine and Lifestyle Intervention".

 

The success of the FK Unud contingent was possible thanks to the support and direction of the supervisor, Dr. Dr. Urged Made Wihandani, M.Kes, who always provides support and guidance. In this event, Dwinanda, Christo, and Jane created a paper entitled "The Effectiveness & Safety of Renal Denervation (RDN) Therapy toward Resistant Hypertension (RH) & Kidney Function in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Patients: A Scoping Review"

 

It is hoped that this work will be able to promote renal denervation modality as a renewable minimally invasive intervention in treating symptoms of resistant hypertension and stabilizing kidney function in chronic kidney patients.
