FK Unud Receives Comparative Study from FK Sam Ratulangi University Manado

 

The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University (FK Unud) received a comparative study visit from the Faculty of Medicine, Sam Ratulangi University (FK Unsrat) Manado which took place in the Prof. Meeting Room. Dr. I Goesti Ngoerah Gede Ngoerah Denpasar, FK Unud Denpasar Building. (4/12/2023)

 

The purpose of this comparative study is to find out governance and exchange information related to the development of the travel medicine program, which is the flagship program of FK Unud and FK Unsrat. The group from FK Unsrat was led by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Dr. Nova H. Kapantow, DAN, M.Sc, Sp.GK., and was welcomed directly by the Dean of FK Unud, Prof. Dr. Dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes

 

In his speech, Prof. Januartha said that travel medicine is a field that is being rapidly developed by Medical Faculties in Indonesia because of the potential foreign exchange that can be generated.

 

"Tourism medicine is one of the foreign exchange earners for the country, therefore the government is currently encouraging the development of this program in Indonesia. Hopefully this opportunity can become a forum for discussion and mutual complementarity between institutions, so that together we can advance travel medicine in Indonesia." he said

 

After opening, the event continued with a presentation and discussion regarding the travel medicine program presented by Dr. Dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, S.Ked., M.Ked as Coordinator of the Travel Medicine Unit of FK Unud.

 

Apart from the Dean, FK Unhas also invited Deputy Deans, study program coordinators and study program secretaries on this comparative study visit. Meanwhile, from FK Unud, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, FK Unud, Prof. Dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D, and UPIKS FK Unud Coordinator, Dr. Dr. HE. Ika Wahyuniari., S.Ked., M.Kes., also attended this visit.
