PKB IKA XXVI, Integrates 13 Child Health Science Divisions to Improve the Quality of Children's Health Services in Indonesia
Department of Child Health Sciences, FK Udayana University and RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Denpasar, in collaboration with the Bali Branch of the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI), gathered a number of well-known figures and medical professionals to organize the XXVI Continuing Medical Education Symposium and Workshop in Child Health Sciences (PKB IKA) at the Prime Plaza Hotel, Sanur, Denpasar. (8-9 September 2023)
Most of the resource persons were experts from the national level who came from Udayana University/RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah and one national resource person from FKUI, guarantee that participants will get the latest insights in pediatric medicine. PKB IKA XXVI aims to improve the knowledge and skills of pediatricians, general practitioners and other medical personnel. With a renewed understanding of child care, it is hoped that participants will be able to provide better and more integrated services to the community.
PKB IKA XXVI raised the theme "Pediatric Updates in Daily Practice" which integrated topics from 13 divisions of Pediatrics and held workshops involving 6 divisions, including Respirology-Allergy Immunology, ERIA (Pediatric Intensive Care Emergency)-Nutrition, and Metabolic Diseases, as well as Pediatric Nephrology and Neurology.
A number of invited guests who attended the world of health included, among others, the Head of the Bali Provincial Health Service, Dr. Dr. I Nyoman Gede Anom, M.Kes., Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. Dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT(K)., Main Director of RSUP Prof. Dr. I G.N.G. Ngoerah, represented by the Diklit Coordinator, Dr. Yohanes Yanson Purnawan, MARS., Secretary of IDI Bali Province Dr. Dr. I Made Sudarmaja, M.Kes., Chair of IDI Denpasar Dr. I Ketut Widiyasa, M. P. H., Chair of IDAI Bali, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Sanjaya Putra, S. H., Sp.A(K)., Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Ida Bagus Gede Suparyatha, Sp.A(K); as well as the Coordinator of the Child Health Science Specialist Study Program, FK Unud, dr. G.A.P. Nilawati, Sp.A(K).
This event lasted for 2 days and succeeded in attracting a total of 250 participants, with 128 participants taking part in the workshop. Not only from Bali, around 70 participants came from outside Bali, covering areas from Sumatra to Papua, showing the appeal of this event on a national scale.
By holding the XXVI PKB Symposium and Workshop, there is great hope in improving the quality of children's health services in Indonesia, and can also continue to improve medical knowledge and the welfare of children throughout the country.
