Udayana University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Held MoA Signs with Central Mindanao University of the Philippines
Friday, August 25 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Central Mindanao University (CMU), Philippines and Udayana University as well as the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) or Cooperation Agreement (CA) between the College of Veterinary Medicine, Central Mindanao University , Philippines and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University. This event took place from afternoon to evening in the courtroom on the 1st floor, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM) Building, Udayana University (UNUD), Jalan Sudirman Campus, Denpasar.
The signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement was attended by the President of the CMU, Philippines, Prof. Relito G. Eballe, PhD; together with the Vice President of the university for Research, Development, and Extention affairs, Prof. Alan P. Dargantes, PhD; and the Dean of the Veterinary College, CMU, Prof. Jose A. Escarlos, Jr. Meanwhile from Udayana University, the event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suartha, MSi; Deputy Deans, Coordinator of the Master of Veterinary Medicine Study Program, Prof. Dr. drh. Tjok Gede Putra Pemayun and Coordinator of Veterinary Professional Education (DVM Program), Prof. Dr. drh. I Made Dwinata, MKes.
After signing the cooperation agreement, the event continued with 'visiting professors' activities in the form of giving public lectures delivered by Prof. Jose Escarlos, PhD who presented the topic on "Efficiency and Prospects of Tunnel Ventilation Technology (TVT) for Poultry Industry in Mindanao, Philippines" and this was followed by a presentation delivered by Prof. Alan P. Dargantes, PhD with the topic "Classical Swine Fever (CSR) and African Swine Fever (ASF) in Mindanao, Philippines: Epidemiological Research towards Control and Eradication". This public lecture was attended by dozens of Masters of Veterinary Science students and DVM Program FVM UNUD students. After the discussion session at the public lecture, the event continued with the presentation of certificates and mementos from the Dean of FVM UNUD to the speakers and the presentation of the UNUD plaque to the President of CMU before finally closing with a group photo.
