MKRI Public Lecture: Pancasila as a Source in Realizing Fair and Constitutional Constitutional Court Decisions

Denpasar, FLUNUD.ac.id - There has been a public lecture activity in collaboration between the Constitutional Court and FH Unud which was held on Friday (07/14/2023) at the FH UNUD Hall, Denpasar Campus. The activity began with a speech by the Dean of FH UNUD (Prof. Dr. Putu Gede Arya Sumerta Yasa, S.H., M.Hum) who also opened a public lecture with the theme "Pancasila as a Source in Realizing Fair and Constitutional Decisions of the Constitutional Court". This activity presented 2 speakers who were also Constitutional Court Judges, namely: Prof. Dr. Arief Hidayat, S.H., M.H with material on Pancasila as a Source in Realizing Fair and Constitutional Constitutional Court Decisions and Prof. Dr. Guntur Hamzah, S.H., M.H with material on Grounding and Promoting Pancasila in the World Community. This public lecture was facilitated directly by the Dean of FH UNUD. And attended by Professors, Vice Deans, Study Program Coordinators, Heads of Labs / Sections and Lecturers, as well as S1, S2 MIH, S2 MKN, S3 students in the FH Unud environment. 

The purpose of the public lecture activities is to improve the understanding and implementation of the Pancasila ideology and national insight in the framework of a democratic state. MKRI as an institution authorized to adjudicate at the first and last level with its decision is final to test the Act against the 1945 Constitution. The mandate of Article 24 C paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution, the Constitutional Court as the Guardian of the State Ideology as well as the Guardian of the Constitution and also the Soul Intreprater of the Constitution. The steps to ground Panacsila can be realized through the areas of daily attitude/behaviour, policy and legislation and regulation.
