UNUD Faculty of Law Delegation Wins Third Best Petitioner File at Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2023

Bandung, FLUNUD.ac.id – 5 FH UNUD students class of 2020 who are members of the Student Community for International Law (SCIL): Bunga Lily Cahaya, Ray Radjuman Janiver, Ni Putu Ayu Eka Pratiwi, Komang Santi Triana Wedha, and I Made Suwandana Putra, along with 2 trainers: Aldo Rico Geraldi (alumni of UNUD Faculty of Law) and I Komang Dananjaya (class of 2019 UNUD Faculty of Law student) came to Bandung City to take part in the round of 8 competition at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (ILMCC) The year 2023 was organized by the International Law Student Association (ILSA) in collaboration with the Indonesian Society for International Law (INASIL) along with the host for Parahyangan University activities. This competition took place from February 4-5 (online preliminary round) and February 11 (advanced round) which took place at Parahyangan University, Bandung.
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition involved 21 Law Faculties from universities spread throughout Indonesia and only 8 universities qualified for the offline advanced round in Bandung and one of them was the Faculty of Law UNUD. This competition was attended by the Chief Justice of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. H. M. Syarifuddin, S.H., M.H. along with other Supreme Court justices, namely: Chairman of the Civil Chamber, Mr. I Gusti Agung Sumanatha, S.H., M.H. who is also a judge.
After completing a series of competitions, the UNUD Faculty of Law Delegation joined the Student Community for International Law (SCIL) consisting of Lily Cahaya Flower, Ray Radjuman Janiver, Ni Putu Ayu Eka Pratiwi, Komang Santi Triana Wedha, I Made Suwandana Putra, Helleiyna M. Purba , Ni Putu Nadine Sekar M, and Jesslyn Tania, succeeded in obtaining 3rd Best Applicant Memorial (Third Best Applicant Documents), Top 10 Final Memorials Ranking (Top 10 Best Combined Files), and Top 15 Oralist (Top 15 Best Lawyers) on behalf of Bunga Light Lily. It is hoped that the participation of the UNUD Faculty of Law delegation in the Philip C. Jessup ILMCC competition will spark the interest and enthusiasm of other students in participating in other international moot court competitions.
