This workshop has the aim of providing information related to LED improvements and overviews as well as assistance for IABEE General Accreditation (GA) involving the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Study Program. In general terms, IABEE (Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education) is an independent, non-profit organization established by the Indonesian Engineers Association to foster a culture of quality in the management of higher education in the fields of engineering and computing. The existence of IABEE has been recognized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education as the body responsible for the accreditation of study programs in the engineering field.
The event started with Moderator Dr. Ir. Ngakan Ketut Acwin Dwijendra, ST., MA., IPU., ASEAN, Eng, then continued from the report of the Chairman of UP3M Dr. Wayan Nata Septiadi, ST.,MT said that the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Study Program had completed the LED and the overview by adjusting the standards set by IABEE which was uploaded on July 8, 2022 and is currently waiting for the results of the response. Then remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D. at the same time opening this workshop. The same thing was also conveyed by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering that this workshop was held as a sharing and additional clear information related to the preparation contained in the Overview and LED, in the hope that there would be no ambiguity or misunderstanding in the report. Therefore, the Faculty of Engineering invited a Civil Engineering Lecturer at Hasanuddin University, Dr. eng. Ir. Some of the materials presented in this workshop include Independent Professional Profiles (PPM), Learning Outcomes (CP), Curriculum, CP Measurement, Continuous Improvement and finally the discussion of LEDs and overviews that have been made by Civil Engineering, Udayana University. While waiting for the results of the first phase of response, there are several additions that need to be implemented in the P-D-C-A (Plan, Do, Check, Act) section in the LED section, as well as the delivery of information to students-lecturers and the public regarding PPM by implementing the P-D-C-A, and documentary evidence, as well as the Curriculum. related to the Assessment of Subject Learning Outcomes. According to the experience that has been carried out from Hasanuddin University that the above is a complex assessment, in the sense that in assessing student achievement, it is not based on grades alone. However, the result of this achievement is that these students certainly have the knowledge and understanding they get in college, so that later they can work better in the world of work.
Through this activity, it is expected to be able to equalize perceptions and get direction and understanding regarding General Accreditation. By participating in IABEE accreditation, it is hoped that the competitiveness of graduates will be better nationally and internationally.
