The PMK Task Force of Fapet Unud Conducts Briefing and Briefing before Plunge into the Field
Following up on the formation of the Oral and Nail Disease Task Force (Satgas PMK), the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University (Fapet Unud) conducted briefing and briefing to all members before going into the field. The briefing and briefing will be carried out online on Thursday, July 14, 2022 starting at 17.00 WITA. The number of participants in this activity was attended by more than 67 people consisting of the Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University as the Head of the PMK Task Force of Faculty of Animal Husbandry Udayana University, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, UP2M Coordinator, UPIKS Coordinator, Coordinator of the Animal Husbandry Undergraduate Study Program as well as the Chair of ISPI Bali, Real Work Lecture students, interns, volunteers, and Field Supervisors (DPL).
Dean of Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Unud, Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Tirta Ariana, M.S., IPU. in his remarks of this activity said that “The spread of PMK needs to be handled immediately. The briefing and briefing carried out today aims to prepare all members of the PMK Task Force of Fapet Unud to have an understanding and knowledge related to the philosophy, prevention, and handling of PMK from the side of animal husbandry. Finally, when they go into the field, students, volunteers, and other PMK Task Force members can provide education through providing counseling to farmers, both affected and not yet affected, to reduce and control the spread of PMK”. In an effort to strengthen understanding, the briefing and debriefing activity presented two competent resource persons in their fields, namely Dr. dr. I Gusti Agung Arta Putra, M.Sc., who delivered material on Strengthening Livestock Maintenance Management as an Effort to Prevent FMD and Dr. I Made Mudita, S.Pt., M.P. deliver material on PMK Management through Applications of Nutrition and Feed Technology.
