The Collaboration of Unud Medical Faculty, Unwar FKIK and Undiksha Medical Faculty Supports Bali Tourism
In order to support the tourism industry in Bali, the Faculty of Medicine at Udayana University together with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Warmadewa and the Faculty of Medicine at the Ganesha University of Education held a Triuniversity Collaborative Webinar in the Health and Tourism Sector. The event began with remarks by the Dean of the Unud Medical Faculty, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes, Deputy Dean I Undiksha, dr. I Putu Suriyasa, M.S., PKK., SpOK , and Deputy Dean I FKIK Unwar, dr. I Wayan Darwata, MPH., who also opened the event.
In his speech, Dr. Januartha said that Bali is a domestic and international tourist destination, so security in the health sector is one of the supporting factors in tourism development. The Indonesian government has also declared medical tourism to be one of the best.
"Therefore, we as educational institutions must take part in developing medical tourism. We as educational institutions in Bali need to collaborate so that we can compete with foreign parties who want to take the medical tourism market share. We really appreciate this step, we hope can seize market share that exists today.
Hopefully we will be able to host in our own area in terms of medical tourism," he said.
This collaborative webinar presents 3 (three) speakers, namely:
1. Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, M.Ked., from FK Unud with the topic - Interprofessional Collaboration in Travel Health
2. dr. Made Indra Wijaya, MARS., Ph.D., FISQua from FKIK Unwar with the topic - Risk Communication and Community Engagement in Travel Health
3. Dr. dr. I Made Kurnia Widiastuti Giri, S.Ked., M.Kes from FK Undiksha with the topic - Travel Health in Wellness Tourism
